7. People make systems work

Circular construction depends on skills, decisions and collaboration

Materials do not become circular by themselves. People make the system work: designers, builders, city officers, researchers, suppliers, students, citizens and local organisations. A reusable component needs the right design, connected documentation, clear procurement choices and explicit skills on the construction site. The travelling demonstrator brings these groups together around one shared object. Through talks, workshops, guided visits and local activities, it becomes a place where practical questions can be asked and new routines can begin.

WOODCIRCLES works with the three European cities of Tartu (Estonia), Torino (Italy), and Rotterdam (Netherlands) and their local stakeholders to advance circular and renewable construction at both local and European level.
